July 2007 - September 2007 _________________________________ September 27th, 2007 Minnesota Multi-Sport Awards - Nominees came out today, and BP athlete (...and the coaches wife) Tiffany Lindstrom made the list as an honrorable mention for Rookie Of The Year. CONGRATULATIONS! _____________________________ September 9th, 2007 IRONMAN WISCONSIN RESULTS Congratulations to ALL! _________________________________ September 1st, 2007 We saw some amazing performance this past weekend at the St. Croix Valley Triathlon. Congrats to all! ST. CROIX VALLEY TRI RESULTS _____________________________ August 26th, 2007 Ironman Louisville results are in! IRONMAN LOUISVILLE RESULTS _________________________________ August 19th, 2007 Congratulations are in order for those of you who braved the elements (4+ inches of rain) and completed the PIGMAN 1/2 Ironman held August 19th in Palo, IA. GREAT JOB TO ALL! PIGMAN 1/2 RESULTS ________________________________ August 19th, 2007 BP was well represented at the Pikes Peak Marathon held this past weekend in Manitou Springs, CO. ...what, you couldn't find a hilly course around here? PIKES PEAK MARATHON RESULTS _________________________________ July 21st, 2007 Congrats to Jason Finch for his performance at the Lumber Jack Days 10 Miler held in Stillwater, MN on July 21st. Jason, using a 4:55 7th mile, was able to bring home runner-up honors in a time of 52:16. Jason, who was the defending champion of this race and hold s a 2:23 marathon PR, has had a solid summer at the races, running 1:08:51 at the Green Bay 1/2 Marathon in May, as well as a win at the Afton 25K Trail Run on July 7th. ________________________________ Also of note, Jim Harrington of Neguanee, MI, was out-leaned at the tape to finish the 3rd annual Grand Island Marathon in the runner-up spot in a time of 2:55:59. Jim, the 2-time defending GI Champion, also had a great race at the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon in May, finishing as the 2nd place Master's athlete in a time of 2:41:09 on a cold and windy day. Jim has a Master's marathon PR of 2:37:46. GRAND ISLAND RESULTS |
October 2007 - December 2007 ________________________________ December 28th, 2007 Just announced, BP will be featured in the business section of the St. Paul Pioneer Press on Sunday January 13th with an article about our coaching services! ________________________________ December 21st, 2007 Please welcome our new nutrition sponsor, Hammer Nutrition. Look for more information about our new partnership SOON! ________________________________ December 8th, 2007 Congratulations to Tracy Lokken for his win earlier today at the USATF National Club Cross Country Championships. Tracy, a former teammate of mine and defending Master's champion, finished as the 2nd Master but won the 40-44 age group in a time 34:28. RESULTS ________________________________ December 8th, 2007 ...not to be outdone today was Jim Harrington, a former high school teammate of mine, as he won the SunMart 50K held in Huntsville, TX. Jim, the defending champion, won by nearly 5 minutes on a warm and humid day. To go along with his wins on '06 and '07, Jim finished 2nd in '02 and '03 and finished 3rd in '04 and '05. Congratulations JIM! RESULTS ____________________________ November 13th, 2007 JUST ANNOUNCED! New Orleans will be hosting a 70.3 Ironman event on April 5th, 2009. Registration is NOW OPEN! IRONMAN 70.3 NEW ORLEANS ____________________________ November 5th, 2007 Congratulations to all Ironman Florida finishers, and a big shout out to Greg Kopecky of Zionsville, IN for his Ironman World Championships qualifying performance. Greg completed the course in 9:39! AWESOME! IRONMAN FLORIDA RESULTS ____________________________ October 28th, 2007 Congratulations to those of you who competed at the Great Pumpkin Chase earlier today. Results can be found at: PUMPKIN CHASE RESULTS ____________________________ October 14th, 2007 Congrats to BPer Brendon O'Flanagan for his 8th place performance at the Osceola Duathlon held in Osceola, WI today. OSCEOLA DUATHLON RESULTS ____________________________ October 8th, 2007 Congratulations to all who finished the Twin Cities, Lakefront and Chicago Marathonsthis past weekend. Despite warm and humid conditions, there a number of runners who followed a plan and had GREAT races! Teresa Brenneke, running her first marathon at TCM, ran smart and qualified for Boston with a solid 3:46:51 effort. And talk about a great run, an old high school rival of mine from back in the day, Tracy Lokken won the Master's division for TCM in a time of 2:29! Great run TL! Congrats Tracy! Also, congrats to Dave, Shannon, Allison and Kelli for their strong finishes! |

January 2008-June 2008 __________________________________ March 15th, 2008 Another shout-out, this time to BP RT member Andrea Vollrath for her effort yesterday at the Irish For A Day 10 Miler. Nice job Andrea! RESULTS __________________________________ March 12th, 2008 A quick shout-out to Tom Masterman for his 4th place finish at the LifeTime Fitness Indoor Tri held in Plymouth, MN on March 9th. Congrats! RESULTS __________________________________ March 5th, 2008 Registration is now open for the National Duathlon Championships to be held in Richmond, VA April 26th-27th. This is the short course championships (10K/40K/5K) with the top 7 in each age-group qualifying for the World Duathlon Champs which will be held in Italy this September. Also of note, long course Nationals will be held May 18th in Auburn, CA! For more info: __________________________________ March 4th, 2008 Check out these fantastic finishes... TRACK FINISH TRI FINISH __________________________________ February 24th, 2008 We saw some solid performances from BP athletes this morning at the Mardi Gras Marathon and 1/2 Marathon. Brendan Minihan finished 3rd OA in the marathon with a time of 2:36:08...John Storment ran a gutsy race to finish in a time of 3:27:33, while Tiffany Lindstrom finished 22nd OA and 6th in her age group running the 1/2 in a PR of 1:36:45. Also, PR's were set by Renee and Emily in the 1/2 marathon! What a beautiful day to be running! MARDI GRAS RESULTS __________________________________ February 24th, 2008 Congratulations to BP RT member Brendon O'Flanagan for his win at the LifeTime Fitness indoor triathlon held at the Chanhassen, MN club earlier today. IRONMAN COWLAND 2008 __________________________________ February 5th, 2008 Marathon fever...catch it! Just a few notes about some of our favorite marathons and 1/2's for 2008. Grandma's Marathon registration is now open, and only available online. As of this morning there were only 1800 spots available. The Gary Bjorklund 1/2 Marathon registration opens online February 20th... Registration for the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon is NOW OPEN! ...also of note, registration for the Chicago Marathon is now open as well! Always a favorite of ours, Chicago has an entry limit of 45,000 and will fill early! TWIN CITIES SPORTS ________________________________ January 13th, 2008 So many results... so little time... First, congratulations to those of you who ran in Arizona at the Rock N Roll Marathon and 1/2. BP'r Christine Arndt ran a GREAT race and qualified for Boston in a time of 3:20:37, while Karen Dodson, running her first ever road-race, ran a very impressive 1/2 Marathon! Also, a big shout-out to Chuck, Shannon, Mike, Emily, Nick, Lisa, Lisa and Mary! RNR RESULTS ...next up is the Chevron Houston Marathon. John Storment ran a solid 3:24 while Rob Ginnow finished strong in a time of 3:47:10... Nice job boys! HOUSTON RESULTS ...also, what a finish for Jason Lehmkuhle in the 1/2 Marathon in Houston. Jason, the 5th place finisher at the US Olympic Marathon Trials held in November and a former Gear/Nike teammate of mine, finished 2nd overall in a time of 1:02:32. Fantastic effort by all! Running with Weights ________________________________ January 6th, 2008 Another win for BP as Emily Fehn of Prairiesville, LA won the Master's division of the Lamar Dixon 5K held this past weekend in Gonzales, LA. Congrat's! ________________________________ January 1st, 2008 Congratulations to BP athlete Brendon O'Flanagan for his win this morning in White Bear Lake, MN at the Resolution Solution 5K. With an air temperature of 2 degrees and the windchill temp. hovering around -20 degrees, Brendon used a strong kick over the last 300 meters to win by 2 seconds in a time of 18:08.
